So, can I flat-tow a Countryman?

All MINI models are not designed to be flat-towed, like behind an RV. Axle-disconnect devices
are to not be installed. The safest way to transport any front wheel drive MINI is with either a
tow dolly where the front wheels are off the ground or with a full auto transporter or flatbed
truck where all four wheels are off the ground. For ALL4 models, it can only be transported
with all four wheels off the ground.


What is the tow capacity of the Countryman?

Like all US-specification MINIs, the tow rating is
zero, which is why we do not offer a tow hitch or
tow hitch preparation. We do not endorse such
modifications to the vehicle.
